Set up the administrator PIN
On first use, follow the on-screen prompts to create and confirm the administrator PIN. Keep it securely available to authorised administrators; it protects access to the app’s settings.
If repeated incorrect attempts trigger a lockout, wait until the app permits another attempt. Never send your PIN to support.
Choose the search probability
Use the administrator PIN to access the probability controls. Adjust the search percentage from 0% to 100% in 5% increments, following your venue’s approved procedures.
At 0%, no selection is marked for search. At 100%, every selection is marked for search.
Run a selection
- START: after setting the required percentage, tap START to begin the selection session.
- PRESS TO SELECT: tap once for the next person and read the displayed result.
- NEXT PERSON: acknowledge the result and prepare the app for the next selection. Repeat the process for each person.
The app keeps one unacknowledged result locally. It does not keep entrant identities, a selection history or reports.
Percentages are probabilities, not quotas
Each selection is independent. A 20% setting gives each selection a 20% chance of being selected; it does not guarantee exactly one person in every five or exactly 20 people in every hundred.
Consecutive selections and stretches with no selections can happen. Previous results do not change the probability of the next selection.
Forgotten PIN or locked access
There is no in-app forgotten-PIN reset. The app saves a salted verifier rather than the plain PIN, so support cannot retrieve your PIN.
Keychain credentials may remain after uninstalling. Deleting and reinstalling the app is not reliable PIN recovery. If you cannot regain access, email support for guidance; do not rely on reinstalling to reset administrator access.
Use within your venue procedures
Random selection does not authorise a physical search or replace venue procedures, consent requirements or professional judgement. Follow the procedures and consent requirements applicable to your role and venue before carrying out any search.
